“THE DREAM”
As a filmmaker, I’m a romantic I see my work as a way to stimulate people’s senses and transport them into another world.
The film opens on the beach — foggy and misty. We see a young man walking towards the ocean — we feel he’s tired. He falls asleep and begins to dream. We travel from one dimension to another, reality to dream state, outer to the inner world. Visually I imagined this transition as a progressive layering of sparkling light-textured footage. I also feel that using abstract imagery keeps the story open to interpretation and forces the viewer to pay closer attention.
In the end, he wakes up and we see his point of view — he rubs his eyes, and we’re back at the beach.
